But What About Jobs?

By Felicia Gorelik

Feel the heat? The Wall Street Journal marked Jacksonville as the second hottest job market right now in the country! Not surprising, considering how many people are moving in.

The WSJ evaluated the unemployment rate, labor-force participation rate, job growth, labor-force growth and wage growth to make their determination.

The top four industries are Healthcare (Mayo Clinic is located 20 minutes from us), Finance and Insurance, Logistics and Transportation, and Technology. Construction is also booming due to the number of people and companies relocating here.

Some of the more recent companies to make their way here are Dun & Bradstreet (data analytics), Paysafe (fin tech), Johnson & Johnson Vision (manufacturing) and Redwire Space (aerospace).

Something else of note: Florida has no state income tax! Lower cost of living and no income tax…sounds amazing, right?

Big enough to have great job opportunities and small enough for a true suburb feel. Quiet tree-lined blocks, children playing outside, and a low-cost place to settle, all without having to give up your career.

Be part of the growth!
